Govt increases toll tax on motorways , here’s the new rates

 LAHORE: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has raised the toll charges for the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M2) once again, as reported by ARY News.

As outlined in the official notice, the updated toll rates for the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) became effective on August 26 and will be in place for the next 12 months.

Under the revised tariff structure, the toll for cars has been elevated by Rs 3.7 per kilometer, resulting in a new rate of Rs 1100. Additionally, the toll for wagons has been increased to Rs 1840.


Moreover, there has been an upward adjustment of Rs 7.22, bringing the coaster fare to Rs 2,590, and the toll charge for coaches has surged by 10.29, reaching Rs 3,690.


According to the notification, the toll levy for trailers on the Lahore-Islamabad motorway has been elevated to Rs 6,170.


The revised toll rates are as follows:


Car/Jeep:              Rs 1,100

Wagon:                  Rs 1,840

Coaster:                Rs 2,590

Coach:                   Rs 3,690

Truck:                    Rs 4,800

Trailer:                   Rs 6,170
